  Aquamarine is a blue type of a mineral called beryl. It has a close relation with emerald which is the green type of beryl. Aquamarine has a bluish-green color just like clear sea water. The aquamarine March birthstone has several characteristics such as transparent, durable and strong. This gemstone is rated 8 on the Moh’s hardness scale. The Aquamarine is mainly found in Russia and Brazil. However, it can also be found in other countries such as some African nations, Pakistan, and United States. The aquamarine is believed to be able to protect sailors from any harm while they are sailing on the sea. This gemstone is usually put in the bed of the sailors.

  The American National Association of Jewelers declared birthstones by month. list in which, the Aquamarine as the March Birthstone in 1912. It is also known as the birthstone of those who were born under the zodiac of Scorpion. Moreover, the aquamarine is also popular as a gift for both 16th and 19th of marriage.
