    calorie’s theory is wrong. all fat deposits depend on inssuline,and insulline secretion depends mainly on carbohydrates apport. so,if you lower your carbohydrate aport,the insulline will not have an exces of glucides to transformand deposit in fatty cells

    It’s the first 2 feet of the intestines. This section has also been implicated in Type II Diabetes. Remove it, and many cases go into full remission! Not surprised at this.

    Actually, eating small meals throughout the entire day keeps your metabolism up, which keeps you burning off energy. Which in turn keeps your body from storing fat to use for later. The “three square meals” a day method is outdated. And you should only ever eat to curb your appetite, not until you are full. When your stomach is full, you don’t digest properly. =) I agree with everything else you said though. And, you can find pre-packaged good for you food. Odwalla bars are awesome, for example.

    While you’re at it, inquisitive YouTuber, take the time and effort to eat less from independent, non-chain grocery stores. They are the thread that keeps our country what it once was. Our need to preserve and freeze our food indefinitely will bring about a neccessity to preserve and freeze our food indefinitely, and I warn you it won’t be pretty.

    I’ve always thought this as well… as he says in the video, take a look at it from an evolutionary point of view. We eat for calories, not for taste. Of course more calories will make you happier; you’re surviving.

    Anyone buyinginto the marketing – it’s 3 times more expensive to buy diet food- is wasting money and effort.
    Eat less. It works.

  19. aspartame is a migraine trigger for me; so I haven’t drank them in a year or two; If I am dying for a taste of soda-which is rare, I cut a have about 6oz cut with ice and about 4oz water. I generally avoid sodas, though, especially colas secondary to the way that they can leech calcium out of your bones (phosphorus).
    This also reminds me of how people eat tons of fat free snacks-not realizing the huge amt of sugar added, and the fact that your brain needs a little bit of fat to feel satiated.

    I think losing weight is about *sating* your appetite (with healthy food). Unhealthy processed food that is *labelled* “diet” often does nothing to sate your appetite.

    What works is lots of water, lots of fiber, lots of vegetables (vitamins and minerals), and a little fruit. And then three solid, tasty, but small (by American standards) meals a day.

    Preparing delicious healthy food is work, which is why we should all have big dinner parties together.

    Aspartame is (allegedly) pretty dangerous stuff. It can also lead to neurological problems if it’s consumed in enough quantities for a long enough period of time.

    At least, that’s what lab tests suggest; we’ve yet to really pinpoint a direct link to consuming aspartame and diseases such as Alzheimer’s. It just seems like kind of a pointless risk to take, though, when it doesn’t even taste good. =\ AND it confuses your body into wanting more food anyway.

  24. Less calories = more hungries. I could have told you that :)
    I did find this interesting, though. People in my family say they can’t taste the difference between regular and low-fat versions of foods, or between sugar and Splenda. Maybe that’s true, but I can always tell the difference; diet stuff is awful!
