Grocery Haul! – Non-Processed Diet Food Purchases
Filed under PeopleOct 11
All the groceries that I bought for this week – many of which answer questions y’all had about how/what I would buy and eat. Also, I talk a lot about random things
I love when people film their refrigerators or grocery purchases because every video, without a doubt, gives me more ideas for my own diet. I hope I give you some new ideas, and maybe kindle your desire to try new combos or new foods

Young lady, you can also make your own hummus and save so much money. I make mine from the garbanzos (boil and peel), lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic (optional) and a bit of sea salt to taste. It is fabulous. If I can make it myself, I stay away from anything processed. Thanks for the posting.

Just found this! I know it’s really old, but if you get this message, try using Stevia as a sweetener. All natural and sold at Whole Foods. I love it.

I used to shop at Central Market — which is owned by Whole Foods here in WA — but now yes, I shop at Trader Joe’s. In the video I went to CM/WF.
I recommend eating what you normally eat but looking for healthier alternatives at your health food store… and go from there. Once you start eating healthier, you usually will then want to branch our more

where do you shop? Is it Whole Foods? I don’t have a Trader Joe’s but there is Whole Foods.. and also since you are eating more unprocessed, would you recommend someone to just start off that way, instead of switching like you did?

You should look up No-Knead bread on YouTube. It’s so so so super easy and CHEAP! with exactly the same ingredients as your baguette! not to mention no packaging…

YES you can, no problem. But you need to steep the tea longer to make it stronger – it has to be stronger if it is iced

do you think you can put ice into the teas and make them iced tea?

I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard lots of good things about it. I should go to a natural store and but it.
I hear it has a weird taste if you use too much, but just a little in tea or whatever sounds good

Have you tried Stevia for a sweetner, it is all natural no calorie sweetner and doesn’t contain any of those nasty chemicals like aspertame that is in splenda and equal.

Oh, cool! I don’t think they need extra sugar – the ones I buy have no sugar except what’s in the fruit
Very cool!

lol, sorry, yes I make them, they’re basic to make, they take a while to cook because you have to bake them slowly to dry out properly but you can do quite a few of them all at once, probably enough to last you quite a while! Most people add extra sugar to them, but I don’t otherwise my 2 yr old will be bouncing off the walls!
It’s fantastic Lee working in an organic store, he gets 15% off all food products and 33% off all vitamins, bath and body products and supplements! yay!

You MAKE fruit leathers?!? Or you make your kids eat them? I LOVE them
:DThat’s awesome that you’re handling the health of your family so well
And ROCK ON that he works at a health food store – that must make it easy and less expensive
